Kamakshi Bhaskarla As Mahadevi In MS Raju’s Agadha!
Legendary filmmaker M. S. Raju, the man behind cult films like Devi, Satruvu, Okkadu, Varsham, Manasantha Nuvve, Nuvvosthanante Nenoddantana and others is coming up with another super interesting film.
Raju is known for presenting his characters with depth and purpose, and the introduction of Mahadevi from his next film Agadha adds a new layer of intrigue to this mystical divine thriller. The makers are carefully unveiling the world of Agadha piece by piece, building anticipation with every reveal.
The curiosity sparked by the first look of Agadha has now moved to its next reveal. The makers have officially announced that the mysterious girl seen standing before the divine idol in the earlier poster is none other than Kamakshi Bhaskarla. She plays the pivotal female lead Mahadevi in the film.
With this announcement, the visual imagination that MS Raju created through the first poster now finds a face and a powerful screen presence. Draped in a traditional black saree, seated intensely before the mystic backdrop of tridents, lamps, and the towering idol, Kamakshi Bhaskarla’s look itself suggests that her character carries significant weight in the narrative. Her fierce expression, traditional appearance, and the spiritual aura around the setting hint that Mahadevi is not just a regular character but someone deeply connected to the mystical core of the story.
Meanwhile, overwhelmed by the response to the first look, MS Raju released a heartfelt note expressing his gratitude to the audience, well wishers, directors, and actors for their encouraging words and appreciation. He shared that the love pouring in through calls, messages, and social media has strengthened his belief in the story he is telling. As a writer and director, he said this encouragement motivates him to give his absolute best and ensure that every aspect of Agadha lives up to expectations. He concluded by thanking everyone for their constant support and belief, saying it truly means everything to him.
Being made on a grand scale under Sri Adi Varaha Productions by producer Kasi Visalakshi Balusu, Agadha is currently in post production. With 45 minutes of VFX, extensive set work, and 85 days of shoot, the film promises a unique cinematic experience across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
